  TESTIMONIALS
"...This is an excellent program. I'm so glad that I stumbled on to this when researching for task management programs. Very low learning curv, quite flexible, and the price is right. Tried at least 20 other programs, either too complicated, too expensive, or poor documentation..."

Employee Induction:

  • Induction is the opportunity for a new employee to familiarize himself with the company, the key staff members, and his immediate working duties and responsibilities;
  • Ensure the terms of probation are discussed, understood, and agreed with the new workers;
  • Employee induction includes learning about job functions/tasks and business situation from a variety of sources, such as corporate policies, job descriptions, working documentation, etc, so make sure the new staff members have received copies of all helpful documents;
  • Besides reading from different documents, it is also necessary to arrange a meeting (or a series of meetings) with other team members and representatives of different departments;
  • There should be an assigned person responsible for a new worker induction (this could be a new employee’s direct manager, or a senior employee, so called “induction buddy”, or a special trainer);
  • Have certain time allocated for a new worker’s induction period (usually it takes 2-3 weeks), but be ready that even when this period expires, an employee may still need some additional time to learn more about the organization, job, projects, and other staff members;
  • Create a gradual plan for a new staff member induction, as a period when he has a chance to be smoothly introduced to the key areas of his job through providing appropriate information and adequate coaching. This individual induction program allows workloads for new workers to grow and expand progressively;
  • During this induction period it is normal for new workers to seek advice, so encourage the new employees to ask their questions, be attentive, provide them with all required documents to help them in obtaining and improving their knowledge, and continuously supervise how well they progress;
  • Publish the staff handbook which will facilitate induction and orientation of new employees. Make sure this book explains all important and work-related information in a simple and step-by-step manner;
  • Ensure that the new employee has been introduced to his co-workers, and a tour through the work environment has been arranged;
  • Demonstrate to the new employee where his personal belongings and the corporate property issued to him (such as uniform or tools) can be securely stored. Provide him with a key from his individual cabinet;
  • Explain working schedule and break periods allowed during the day (such as coffee, lunch or smoking breaks);
  • Represent the working equipment, enterprise systems and other important technology used in the business processes to check whether the new employee knows how to operate them in a proper way (define his training needs);
  • Educate the new staff member on corporate safety, risk control, hazard reporting, emergency, and everyday lock up procedures for the working area;
  • Ensure the new employee’s workplace......
